About our Honorees
Lyn Kaller has been a clinical psychologist in private practice in New York for more than two decades. Known to her patients as “Dr. Lyn,” she has helped children and adolescents manage psychosocial, emotional, and behavioral challenges, or those related to a medical diagnosis. Lyn is mom to 3 amazing children: Jordana (18); Ben (16); and Noah (15). Noah was diagnosed with type one diabetes in January of 2016. He is a JDRF Youth Ambassador, and participates in One Walk each year. Lyn works eagerly with her family to raise funds and awareness for JDRF. She is a co-leader of the JDRF Westchester Support Group for Kids, facilitating social connections and empowering pre-teens with type one diabetes.
Rochelle Waldman has been an active member of the JDRF community since her daughter Jessica was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2011, at 12 years old. Team Jessica has participated in One Walk for 6 years, raising $180,000 to date. Jessica continued to walk in Chicago after heading to college, while Rochelle participated in the JDRF Ride to Cure program, successfully completing two 100 mile Rides as a top fundraiser. Additionally, Rochelle has served on the Board of Directors since 2016. She is the Advocacy Chair, allowing her to travel to Washington, D.C. for the past 4 years, advocating for the type 1 diabetes community. She also created the successful Peace, Love, Cure event and is an active member of the Outreach Committee.
Kaisa Weaver is mom to Zachary, 8, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2. The Weaver family has participated in One Walk, and Kaisa is active in the JDRF community as a member of the Online Diabetes Support Team, and her fundraising efforts for the past 4 years on the Gala committee. Serving as the Gala Procurement Co-Chair for 3 consecutive years, Kaisa helped raise nearly $420,000 for the event. She resides in Rowayton, CT with Zachary, her husband, Bradley, and their dog, Sadie.
